The Sunset of Summer

Here it goes, I'm just going to say it!...Summer is ov...I can't say it...ok here it goes I'm just going to rip the band aid off already :( Sadly summer is over in Alaska. We now have chilly mornings, rainy days and soon permafrost on our grass accompanied by falling leaves. I decided to do a sunset in leu of the end of my favorite season. I sponged on NYC Greenwich village, Wet n Wild a pealish pink color sorry the name rubbed off, Wet n Wild Inferno from the Craze collection, Wet n Wild Sunny Side and Wet n Wild The Wonder Yellows (See a trend here :D) I used I used a black striper brush to paint the palm trees.
I sponged on all the colors and hand painted the palm trees.

Cutesy Coral

This is a simple design with Jessie's Girl Julie G as a base coat color. I used Bundle Monster plate BM12 with Wet n Wild Black Creme and yellow and blue flower rhinestones. The blue rhinestone is the accent color. I wanted something summery. I'm squeezing as much summer on my nails as I can. What can I say I just spent 2 weeks on the East Coast and returning to AK is no fun :(. Any comments, suggestions are welcome :)

It is here!

My first post ever on my nail blog! Soo exciting. I created this blog to 1. Document all my designs. 2. Share them with the world :)
Before we continue there's a few things to know of me...
1. I won't do too many hauls unless it's super special

2. I won't be taking pics at every angle and in every form of light.

3. I can't guarantee I'll post EVERY Sunday but I'll do my darndest to do so.

4. I'm not a profession and no company is paying me to advertise, publicize or sending me samples. Everything you see posted is stuff that has been bought by me myself and I. Trust me my pocketbook doesn't lie :D

I'll be posting my design of the week or NOTW every Sunday as time permits. I'll also tell you how to recreate the design. I paint most of my designs on fake nails. I'll tell you what form of nails I'm using as it applies. This week will be my natural nails. I slammed my thumb in a car door (who does that?) Apparently me so I have to let my thumb heal before I can suffocate it with polish :)  That doesn't stop me from painting my other 9 nails. With that being said here's my first design.

This is a simple purple crackle manicure. I used Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac as a base, Milani's Holographic lavender Hi-Res 514 and China Glaze's crackle Fault line with Seche Vite as a top coat.
It's not the best picture in the world but bare with me my camera died on VA Beach :(  All I have is my iPhone if you want a better pic you can look at my facebook. Clarice Uttke
